This can be made ahead of time, stored in a stainless-steel travel mug in the fridge overnight and taken with you the next day!
1 cup brewed coffee, chilled in the fridge (okay to use decaf)
1 small ripe banana (or ½ cup frozen banana slices)
1 tablespoon of your favorite low salt, natural nut butter (peanut butter or almond butter)
¼ regular oats (NOT steel cut)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
½ tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ cup low fat milk or almond milk
6-8 ice cubes
Optional: 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed or chia seeds to increase the fiber content.
Optional: ½ serving protein powder
